When health workers cannot see who they are reaching, they cannot know who they are missing. In 2025, we set out to close that gap. Across 7 projects in 3 countries, our partners enrolled and verified 1,404,633 unique people and more than 1.1 million life-saving health services.

Simprints is a non-profit technology company born out of the University of Cambridge in the UK. Passionate, dedicated, and creative, our team members are located across 15 different countries. We come together to build and deploy technology for good.

What are biometrics?
Biometrics are unique physical or behavioural characteristics used to identify individuals, such as fingerprints, facial features, or iris patterns. Digital biometrics are based on the same technology that you unlock your smartphone with.
How does Simprints use biometric ID to help people?
Communities worldwide are missing out on continuity of healthcare and life-saving services that are meant for them. That’s why Simprints developed a new kind of tech for good: biometric ID with privacy at its core.

Simprints focuses on providing affordable, accurate, and scalable biometric solutions for social impact, particularly in healthcare and humanitarian settings. This technology is made for offline, rugged, remote environments and built for the rural African and Asian contexts. Biometric vendors found in airports or hospitals in urban cities are not built for darker skin tones or worn or burnt fingerprints; Simprints is.
